Philip Timson – Director
Background - Philip has lived in Gloucestershire for most of the last 35 years. After a career in banking during which he undertook a wide variety of roles including a number of senior management positions both locally and regionally, Philip joined Business Link in February 2000.
He initially managed the start-up and micro business team before being promoted to the role of Operations Director in 2004. His responsibilities there included managing four adviser teams, numerous delivery contracts and membership of the executive team.
The formation of GEBS gives him the chance to go back to his real interest of helping small businesses prosper and grow.

Mally Findlater - Business Adviser
Background - Mally ran her own small business for 18 years, manufacturing and selling toys. Over time the business grew to a team of 10, and had a wide range of trade and retail customers. In 1999 the partners took the opportunity to sell the business, and Mally took up a role as finance manager in a communications company. In 2001 she joined Business Link Gloucestershire as a micro business adviser. In the last 6 years she has helped hundreds of people start up and improve their businesses. Her enthusiasm for small business is carried through into her training and business advice.

Lucy Taylor - Programme Manager
Background - Lucy Taylor is a Programme Manager for GlosEBS where she manages a project in the Cotswolds rural areas which aims to provide individuals and businesses with the essential support and advice that they need to either start up a business or realise the full potential of their existing enterprise. Lucy has lots of experience in working with start up businesses, having worked for several years as a project manager for an embryonic corporate finance business in London, helping to take it from initial concept through to launch and then reaching a turnover of £120mn within 2 years. Prior to this she has worked within corporate sales and recruitment.

Melanie Jones - Programme Manager
Background - Melanie Jones is a Programme Manager for GlosEBS where she manages a broad portfolio of women's enterprise programmes countywide. As the founder of the hugely successful Women Entrepreneurs in Business (WEB) group, Melanie manages a range of business support programmes for women considering self employment and those already running successful enterprises.
Melanie has vast experience of supporting women in business and is the organiser of the annual Enterprising Women Make A Difference Conference, held each year on National Women's Enterprise Day. Prior to this she worked with voluntary and community groups, social enterprises and under-represented and disadvantaged businesses, championing each sector, whilst developing new business support tools and piloting new ways of working.

Cait Clucas - Programme Manager
Background - Cait has over 10 years experience in a generalist HR and customer service role, working in the service, construction and now business advice sectors. Her education was at University College, Dublin, completing the Management stream Bachelor of Commerce. Since moving to Gloucestershire in 1998, she spent 5 years in training and customer service management, providing advice and assistance with HR issues as well as managing customer service teams.
In 2003 Cait took on a new role at Business Link Gloucestershire as Programme Manager for an ESF funded scheme advising micro businesses on skills development and HR issues. She has been involved in the sourcing, funding and evaluation of training programmes and in providing practical assistance to small businesses in their attempts to put in place HR policies and procedures, as well as acting as an advice service to other firms with HR problems and queries.

Emily Jarratt - Business Support
Background - Since joining Business Link Gloucestershire in 2004 Emily has become experienced in coordinating training and events for various business areas including Black Minority Ethnic support, Women’s Enterprise, Deprived Communities and Social Enterprise. Emily is also responsible for the running and organisation of the Women Entrepreneurs in Business Group that is available to all women owned or managed businesses within Gloucestershire. As part of Gloucestershire Enterprise Business Services Emily will continue to be the first point of contact on these areas as well as providing information and support on the other various services that the company offers.
