Better Business in Childcare (BBIC)
BBIC is a service specifically designed to support the non maintained childcare sector in Gloucestershire.
The service employs 6 dedicated Business Advisers who are on hand to support both emerging and existing settings with practical advice and guidance on all business issues. Coupled with this, there is a wide range of additional support tools including a dedicated telephone advice line (01242 864123), events, workshops and other training opportunities, online resources and regular newsletters.
Most elements of the BBC service is provided by the Enterprise Partnership under contract to Gloucestershire County Council. The service was launched in November 2008 and the current programme will run until March 2011.
As the title suggests, the BBC programme is designed to improve the business skills of those managing or running settings in the County. For more information about this innovative scheme, visit - www.betterbusinessinchildcare.co.uk
